Instead of continuing to completely hijack the other thread, and post additions everywhere but the initial post; here's the thread for my Embedding BBCode additions.

7.3 Update - Due to the "Custom Tags" option added in 7.3 these can be added much easier, without having to hack code. Please see the following links:

NOTE:

The [podcast] tag requires the MP3 flash file inserted into your /libs directory; this file is available here. Please note that you'll also need to insert the URL to this file in the bbcode entry.

To see why there is the description/desc tags, please see here.
The PhotoBucket Video code requires the videoURL from the embed link on photobucket, you can't use the "link to this page" link as it does not give the video data to embed the video.

Markup Panel Note: The text attached shows you how to add an option to your markup panel (the graphic goes in images/markup_panel/ and should be named "vidembed.gif"); it took a while to get everything to mesh well, but I think it should work fine.

The only options in here (for now) is the Video Embedding options, and it prompts the user to enter a description for their video (so search engines or impaired users can actually tell what it is as they can have issues viewing videos)... On another note, do you like my video embed graphic?

So if your members embedd a YouTube Video Google is picking up your site name. e.g. - Google Result looks like this. YouTube - Chassis with 27 litre tank engine for Rover SD1 project 4 clicks from http://www.mysite.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php?ub... 3 clicks from http://www.his-site.co.uk/forum/index.php?showto. ... Its a very popular add-on on my site the members love it. BOOM 7.6.+ rocks....

But especially with youtube, lots of people just type in the whole url instead of just the code. But it shouldn't be too difficult to accept a whole URL also isn't it? OTl8ySlr4Qw&eurl Ive no idea where the &eurl came from as in i dont know. So that was causing me problems as it was the correct format. With &eurl removed the extra and positioning now all works. Centred and previewing fine OTl8ySlr4Qw I'm now using all the codes posted in the first post Thanks for the reply's. BOOM 7.6.+ rocks....

This will insert a graphic next to the image embed item which will drop down a list of video sites. Upon clicking the site you wish to embed from, it will prompt you for your video id and then it will ask for a description of the video as well. Will attach screens as well to the initial post. Its the mark up panel i know but when you finish with the code + description in FF the drop list is in the way of the output. 2. If you dont enter a description in the box, the tags are left visible ]desc[ ]/desc[ ive reversed the braces to help. Apart from that, i moved our prefered vids up and down in the tpl file and all is well Awaiting user feedback. BOOM 7.6.+ rocks....

Search engines and visually impaired users can't see the video, so the topic of the page will just be your responses... I guess I could seperate the description into its own area though at the bottom of the list... But again, I recommend that if you're going to post a video that you should post a description no matter what... Plus it's not like you can't remove the tags... On #1 i'm not sure i get what youw ant... It loads fine for me in FireFox so I guess it's just a miss communication... BTW, I stole the markup info from the text size box and used the doprompt script, so the behavior of the dropdown will directly reflect that of what the font type/size dropdowns work. Its feedback not criticism, its one of the best mods i have installed. If it can be edited that the "[desc]" tags don't show if nothing is entered then i say you have a solid add-on but i'm glad your happy to share BOOM 7.6.+ rocks....

With the numerous sites out there that will convert your own movies to *.flv files like what You Tube Does. Many of my members are using these site to compress there video's into .flv files and now are asking if our own forums can show them, if there uploaded.
