UD is calling it a Pentium III Anyone else running it? I've got the 1.7 ghz version and it's flying through the cancer critters The score for the processor (and all other components) seems to go up and down everytime it connects, anywhere from a 87 or so to ~154...

The Pentium M is related closest to the Pentium 3, thus the identification.

Mine keeps saying i have 0.98GB of hard drive space free when I actually have over 12GB free. And ideas here?
And God said "Let there be light", but then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

That's how much hard drive space you allow UD to work with. You can change it in your device settings online Mine Says: Processor Comparison Device: 100 Pentium 4 1.5 ghz This Device: 179 Pentium 3 1.7 ghz kinda odd

The "M" must stand for "Megafast" I have a P3 laptop, not performing too well though. Processor gets a rating of 60 at best, and it can take up to 48 hours to complete one result.

Al, I know it fluctuates with power input. For example, different speeds when the laptop is plugged into AC vs when it's battery powered.
This is to preserve battery power. Is this perhaps the issue or did I misunderstand the prob?

I have a P4 2.6Ghz hyperthreading box that only rates 170 for the Processor.

It will also fluctuate with network connection, oddly enough.
SubZ, it only uses one of two "threads" in hyperthreading, since it is not a multithreaded app. I did try running it with hyperthreading on, logging in as two different users and running two different copies of it at the same time. I found that running hyperthreading off and only one copy at a time is faster.
On the other hand, with my real dual proc machine, an old dual p3 850 box, it returned better results with two copies running.
Picture perfect penmanship here.

Yeah, my hyperthreading box takes a beating like a government mule on a DSL shared with 40 users. I'm over 150 (Topping out with 267 on Memory) in every category except Network.
Yeah, I know that it is a single threaded app. It just seemed like 170 for a 2.6Ghz was kind of an injustice considering their benchmark is a 1.5Ghz. The speed difference is considerable. No way I'm shutting off Hyperthreading - my machine would get murdered by the load. WDSc already takes a toll on the PC when I launch it.

Internet connection can raise your network rating substantially. With my DSL line, I had a network rating of ~50, with my cable modem, I went all the way up to 121
