This is a very interesting thread...
so, what is the syntax for "shadow" rather than "glow"?

well, this hack was made during the 5.44 time, so the first documentation probably wouldn`t work

and to change from glow to shadow, just change "glow" to "shadow"

now i`m working on a hack that`ll change form input colors and changeble via CP

There is a hack out there that allows the user to define their glow color. I am running it on my board right now. You add 2 lines to the member cgi, and their preferences for color are stored there.
I can't remember offhand where I found it though- I know it is around somewhere... It is a nice addition if you can find it.

I wrote the hack that you are talking about.

Once a member reaches the "full memeber" status, two new lines will show up in there profile just like the userdefined custom status hack. After this, they can assign themselves a custom glow color, AND a custom font color for there user name. Once again, it only works in IE, but netscape users will still be able to see the font color change.

If you would like to see it in action, i have it installed at my board. MEMBERS LOVE IT.

btw, the hack also has default glow colors for ranks, mods, admin, for people with under full member status designated in the cp general settings.

Yes- I finally found it back in my hack storage area... It is a very nice addition to the board, my users also love it.
