Well this heck make sure people can click the submit button only once. After clicking it the button become gray so people cannot press it again. The idea of this hack is to eliminate people clicking few times and by that posting the same message twice and over loading the server.

well add this to the header of the page (can be done through the CP)
Code
code:

and then open posting.cgi and look for the method="POST" in the
tag (it should be there a few times)
and add
Code
code:
just after it so it should look like this

upload in ASCII and thats it. [Linked Image]

I pasted the text into my header and inserted the line into postings.cgi (uploading in ASCII of course) and nothing has changed.

I am still using 5.44b. Is this hack not compatible with that version?

This hack should work with any version I belive that you have to use version 4 or above of the browser, which I assume every one does this days.
Try adding the code to the header of the forums (not that I see any diffrent) rather then the main header.

Flood lock will stop any one for posting anywhere with in the certain time. This hack wil make sure that no one doubles or triple posts in on thread at one time. If that is confusing or anything just tell me.
