Many of you have modified v5.46 ubb's and would rather not upgrade due to the limited changes. I have done a file compare and documented the changes needed to be made to upgrade your 5.46 ubb to 5.46a. There are a few improvements that are useful, for instance, you can now copy code from the threads with double ||'s without the ubb adding a space in between.... etc... Due to the "gray-area" of possible license violations, I will not post this to the database. Did u see info pops new policy on modifing freeware ubb? I bought ubb because i modified the freeware and figured out how cool it was. Anyway, i think they need to lower the price. I had to renew my licence just to get the upgrade from 5.46 to 5.46a since my licence ran out... i emailed them and they told me i had to pay $75... when i get it... it screws up all the mods i installed, so i'm waiting to recieve instructions on how to update....

And here are the version notes for 5.46a: A minor bug fix update effecting postings.cgi, ubbmisc.cgi, cpanel4.cgi, and both ubb_library files. Fixed the infamous uncapitalized "if" on the registration page. Fixed the spacing after "From:" in Author Extra. Returns more verbose messages on max memfields errors - now reports which member has the extra field. Fixed incorrect display of ||, no longer adds the extra space between them. Banned registration of names beginning #!. In extremely rare instances this could have been used to run non-UBB commands. Banned the use of certain characters for unregistered user's usernames, which might corrupt data files. ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

There are no changes in the latest 5.46a from 5.46. The original change in 5.46a last week was reversed back to v5.46's file. OK, that made no sense. For those who haven't upgraded yet, there are no changes to cpanel4.cgi. I am gonna delete that from the download.
