Instead of the useful image indicating a new message, why can't the new message glow? So if a new message is posted, the title glows until you click on it. How cool is that idea? And how easy would it be to implement? Cal answered that question at SK! By cal for...someone! in forumdisplay.cgi find this: add this: find: add: find: replace with: all done Fixed. ------------------ UBBDEV Moderator OCCUPATION: Programmer, webmaster. Can someone test this on a board so we can see a demo of this hack ? It sounds interesting but I want to see it in action.

I installed this hack on my forums and no it didn't erase the icon (I knew it wouldn't anyway) If you want to see the glowing text go here you will not be able to see the glowing text if A.Your browser doesn't support it or B.There arn't any new posts but this is a cool hack that just adds a little something to your board so it's recomended by me.

Ok... Mine works but I am unable to change the color or strength. Can my CSS be the issue? Take a look, link is below. ------------------ The MyDivX ;-) Forums http://www.mydivx.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi This message has been edited by BetaBoy on January 01, 2001 at 08:35 PM

MM thanx for looking. It looks like the CSS is the problem. When I remove it the glow reacts normally when I change the "strength" settings. Anyone have a work around so that I might be able to bypass the CSS with have to change it for the entire board? ------------------ The MyDivX ;-) Forums http://www.mydivx.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi
