I placed everywhere even in the search.cgi ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) And it works perfectly. But if you dont want 2 popups in a reply or quote, place the SSI call only in edit and new post subs at posting.cgi Cuz if you use the call in ubb_library2.pl and try to reply, the popup will show up through the iframe ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif) ------------------ Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

The popup for threads is working for me, but after I delete the IM that had popped up and go back to the thread page a blank IM will pop up. I assume because the im.gif image is still there automatically popping up an IM window from when I actually did have a new IM. Any way to fix this?

## PASTE THIS UNDER:

everything works fine?
and the rest of the hack (in postin.cgi, ubb_library.cgi, forumdisplay.cgi) is for what?
thanks for your help...

Just wondering about part of the install instructions. My question is: which "1;" are they talking about within the script? There are many and the instructions do not give details about it. Thanks

I am kind of lost since this is such a long thread but I think I read somewhere that the IM's get deleted automatically. Well I have a IM in ubbdev.com since last week which I have read twice and closed and its still there. Is the autodelete feature an option somewhere or is this a new future that was being discussed?

hmmm.... Well all of a sudden today the offline/online status thing started working without me changing anything for days! Have no idea what happened. I guess the only thing that auto changes is the online.cgi in the Members dir (or is private). anyways. Though I am glad its working now but since I don't know whats going on it may ..........

I think your assumption is right. It is only deleting them if I hit Delete. I think that "AUTO" in there is misleading and should be taken out.

Just installed this hack to my board about an hour ago and everything seems fine but i'm not getting any notification when i visit a forum. What code should i add/delete/change to get it to popup when i visit a forum. I had this hack on a different board and when adding it to the new board i used the latest doc and files. Now the notification isn't showing up. Any help will be appreciated.

If you have the PM popup notification then you will need to remove that to get it to work. ------------------

Ok for the # (page reloading) issue i have next solution Find this: and replace with: It works ok with IE and NS6 but if someone will try it out for me with older version NS i would appreciate a lot... http://spawnboard.hypermart.net/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000024.html EDIT: I added style=cursor:hand in the image tag, this will get you the little hand if you move your mouse over *only IE* popup will still work in NS but there is no hand if you move your mouse over online image. ------------------ This message has been edited by -=SpAwN=- on December 31, 2000 at 04:39 AM

1. It only checks when you refresh or go to another board, etc. 2. Some other people are having the problem of the image producing the "X". That's most likely allen's fault in the instructions ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) . ------------------

I want to install the UBBIM popup notification, but there are 30 posts about it, starting to get a little difficult to get a hold on it! Is there a readme file for it yet?

I downloaded the file compared it with my own files in "Beyond Compare"(I've translated it to Swedish, and I don't want to do it again ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) ) I made all the changes and uploaded it again (it worked in earlier versions) and I got a 500 error so I uploaded my old files again! And the prob with the images is old and I didn't have any problems solving that ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) But I'm looking for the popup notification!

I tought you just metioned in This thread to me that you personally didnt like the UBB IM mod? Why bother asking questions about it when you wont use it? If you however want to use it i can tell you that the zip file in the database works great now and there is no need for going throw xxxx pages. Atleast it works great for me. You might need to add these additions for the pop-ups to work properly. In postings.cgi------------ FIND:require "ubb_library.pl"; require "ubb_library2.pl"; Then, ADD: require "private.cfg"; --------------- In forumdisplay.cgi--------------- FIND:require "ubb_library.pl"; Then, ADD: require "private.cfg"; _____________________________________________ Second question 4 Spawn ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) Is it possible to recieve pop-ups with out reloading or going to another page? That would be a great if someone could figure that out ( hint hint)

Hmmm, it only refreshs on Ultimate.cgi on my board further all other pages shows the popup without refreshing the page. I think if you remove the Sound and change the code for popups in Ultimate.cgi it will work. But i dont want to loose my sound option, thus let us find out how to do that. But i have to sleep also today ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) ------------------

I know what you mean......you're PM notification sound is pretty funny You can actually recieve a pop-up in the forumdisplay.cgi without having to refresh or enter the page ? Mine doesn't do that. I either have to enter the forumdisplay or refresh it. I wonder what I did wrong . Oh well, ubbIM still rocks none the less
