Hi guys are you still hanging with 5.x ubb or all of you have upgraded to 6.x? What's the neat features of 6.x that work and do not cause system loading probs? Polls are online now with 6.2? Topic rating? Avatars? Custom Titles? Coz all of them are still hacks for 5.x boy they worked great Please keep me updated what you perl gods are doing with 5.x

I work on a 6.2 and it's pretty good, but I'd say stick with the 5.XX series if you have done alot of work to your forum.

Hi again guys why you recommending stick with hacked 5.x over 6.2? Is 6.2 still bloatware? Are there any polls running on Ubbdev that is using 6.2 ? What about Avatars and Custom titles? Search fast?

Well I'd say you upgrade to 6.2. It would be the only version worth upgrading to.

IS there a thread on speed comparison somewhere?
I read that the 6-series are heavier on the server, create more datatraffic. How about the webspace? I think version 5 needs more webspace to run.
Is there a thread where this is all discussed seriously? Because fankly.. I understand why Infopop personell recommends upgrading, but my board is so heavily modified I think it probably won't even survive a conversion to 6 series.
The thought sometimes pops up in my head though, although it would be hell of a work to get all the options I have in version 5 to work in version 6 as well.
Something else: is there a hack-create script already? I saw this at the Yabb forum, it woul be great to have something like that for UBB. That would make it so much easier to install hacks, just a simple click and go process...

Good luck to them. They'll have even more trouble if they are using extra profile fields.
