Here's a set of buttons I threw together. They're best used with dark backgrounds.

Cool buttons, I wouldn't mind seeing some more like that in different colors

Are these available for use at other boards? The mods here will probably like to know if they can add them to the graphics database too.

Glad you like 'em. Anyone feel free to use these buttons. I'll do some more in other colors, below are some more without the scanline effect don't know which ones I prefer.

Btw: Deb if you want to add 'em to the database you can no probs

Do you want it to look just like the browny/gold one but in silver/grey??

The purple have been swapped G8Master.

I think SWFan is askin' for a silver/grey color. (and I was thinking about requesting that color also because there are quite a few grey boards out there.)

g8master: are you just using the variations command in PS to make different colors? that would be the easiest way to go

Yep thats what I'm doing just changing the color of the button layer using variations (or sometimes Hue Saturation)

Yeah they can be done in shades of green no probs. Just been to your site COOL! like it a lot nice GFX . Are you interested in using these buttons on your site? (the ones you have look pretty cool to me) but if you are I can do you some that will blend in properly with your background (as the ones I've been doing are for darker backgrounds Damn jaggies)

I'll let you know if I need anything custom, thanks for the offer. The colors on my site currently are not the final colors being used on my 5.47c update going live any day now. I'll give these a try tomorrow and see how they look!

Could you make some with an RBG background of 336699 and make an additional one that says "Track Topic"?

Yeah I'll make you some no probs. What color do you want the buttons themselves?

The font I am using is called Spaceport.

(As squage pointed out - if you have photoshop or psp I have made the original file available so you can edit the button yourself you'll find the link under the topic Buttons psd)

Ok, I have Photo Shop but I couldn't figure out how to make the color of the button itself a specific color instead of just making it lighter or darker or using different hues.

Ok no problem what color do you want the button? I may have to make 'em slightly larger anyway to fit Track Topic in neatly. Let me know what color you want and I will do 'em for you.

(If you go Image - Adjust Hue/Saturation and mess about with Hue Saturation and Lightness you should be able to alter the color of the button that's all I'm doing or even easier use Image - Adjust - Variations and change the color that way )

I will try and do some more buttons suitable for lighter backgrounds . The only problem I am having is that if I make a Transparent gif suitable for white backgrounds (no problem) but as soon as they are used on anything other than shades of white (or very light greys) they look awfull (seems to be the nature of transparent gifs )

Anyone else got any ideas? I've noticed that some transparent gifs seem to look perfect on any color background does anyone know how this is achieved??? I have been looking for the answer to this for a long time The answer I usually get back is "you make the gifs background as close to color of the background you will be using on you website" which is fair enough I understand this perfectly but what I don't understand is - why do some transparent gifs look perfect on any colored background??

Any Info would be much appreciated
