There something that you can turn your board off, but still make the forums visuable to public, but you cant post, or edit your topics delete, just set the board to an archive state?

hmmm... that would be akin to setting all the forums to read-only. 6.4 has a 'half-off' status so that admins can cruise the site when the forums are off to fix problems, etc... your request seems different tho What version are you running? And what would the benefit of this would be?

Post #10k ?? sorry allen I feel dumb now.... We wont be able to upgrade to the newer version our license runs out in a week, and Im not the one who purchased it, and im not sure if the guy I work with is ready to re-purchase the license right away, im just the guy who maintains it, we cant have two copies running, I went over to the regular ubb support area and asked and they said we can have two copies running (which if I would have read the license it says in there she said) that you can have two copies if the one is for archivable or back up reasons. were moving our site and changing things, and it would be nice to have the old one as an archive.... but not for anyone to post on it, delete edit... just *read* purposes. That would be the benifit
