Integrating Album.pl into UBB Classic

I have been playing around with the Album.pl mod or addition on my website. While there are some issues with the code, I wanted to find out some more ways to integrate this with UBB.

I have seen a few websites that somehow put a link in your profile to that specific members photo album. If the album does not exist, it says member has not photo album. How'd 'ay do dat?

Also, what other tips and tricks have you done to more integrate the album.pl script into UBB?
