I believe you can set that towards the top of ubb_lib.cgi in 6.4+

And it's in the registration settings area of the control panel in 6.5.

Yeah, but having signatures over 2,500 characters is outright absurd... there's no way anyone will ever legitimately require a sig that big.

yeah I know, we just wanted to eliminate them because we had one admin who had a freakishly long sig, and the 2500 limit seems to include html markup, like [img] l [/img] would be
