I was wondering if something can be implemented in ELY_M's upload hack that would be a decent idea. Would it be possible to code something where a user can only upload "X" amount of times each month? Because Im getting the problem where people are just dumping duplicates of files day after day and its taking up space. I guess I could take off uploading all together, but that defeats the whole purpose of custom avatars from other locations, etc. So would it be hard to throw some code into ELY_M's hack? Somehow getting their member profiles ($user_profile[x]) check on their existing uploads already, and allow them so many? Im sure theres more to it Just an idea!

Ian, I know your not doing this, but heres a question,
Would it be relatively difficult to instead only allow certain members to upload? So instead of having everyone having access to the upload form, instead only allow certain members (by member #) to have access view their profile maybe?

Actually, i've been working on it. And since the whole hack is being redone, i'm adding misc other things to it like uploading custom avatars, but i can add your suggestion there very easily. no eta, yet.

IF this hack ever shows up, it would be nice to have the possibility to upload several files, not just one per post.
