Well.. here comes the ignorance and racism.

I agree with Mike, except for one thing. We aren't sure who did it... Even tho those people were dancing doesn't give us the right to destroy em.. sure I would.. but they are just happy to see America screwed up

Tech-Ni-Kal, They've got a reason, their country is suffring from racism because of the continuos U.S Support to Israel. They're facing death everyday because of that. You can hear them say: "See America, The God is the one who decides"

Just to clear up the muddy terms here, anyone in the world who thinks "50,000 Americans dead" should be shot. Only those who thinks "50,000 people dead" is a human being. How can the Egyptians and Palistins "partying in the streets" celebrating the loss of any human life? For that, they don't deserve their own.

"America got what it deserves for their foreign policy?" I'm hardly a fan of hypocratic America on many issues, but WHEN was the last time ANY other country had this many people wiped out in the blink of an eye?!

A rebel Afghanistan faction are claiming responsibility, and if true, means Bin Laden wasn't involved. Not that the Afghan government would _ever_ admit it, even if he was... they know practically the rest of the planet would be united against them.

The death makes me sad... the reason make me mad... the reactions make me sick.

What stupid assholes. I am sure they know the whole world is practically against them now. So, they would NEVER admit to it. Hopefully, other countries will help us find the guys. And we should deifnately kill those Afghanistans.. You don't praise death.. especially of 50,000 innocent people.

Of course, I don't mean that they are doing the right thing. But they feel that everybody in the U.S is involved in their tragedy because a large percentage of the taxes you're paying is given to Israel to kill them and/or occupy their territories.

Personally, I'd like to see three towers built in their place, with the middle one much taller than the other two. That way, it would look like a giant middle finger, directed straight at the people who did this.

I haven't heard of anyone taking responsibility for this, and I've been watching the news all day.

It was more than likely bin Laden, since he claimed something 'big' was going to happen. If that turns out true, destroying Afghanistan as a whole would be a baaaad thing to do. We would destry the Taliban, and make it known, that any country harboring terrorists will get the same treatment.

The is a Rebel group in Afghanistan, I forget their name, that are against the Taliban, and against what has happened. They were the ones respnsible for the bombings in Afghanistan that occurred a little while ago.

I wonder if these people didn't think we would strike back...

Not only completely wipe out Afghanistan, but also Syria, Pakistan, Iraq & Iran. Total and complete destruction and loss of all life.

To me, it seems like all of us americans want is to get revenge for this. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe we should let this go, but if we are going to let revenge drive us to try to kill them, we have sunk down to their level.

Personally I am a fan of vengence in general, but what's most important here is making sure this terrorist group never harm another person...

I think what most of you are not (intentionally?) realising is that many people in the middle east are muslim, yes, but also uneducated.

Who was it that said something to the likes of 'the common people view religion as true, the wise view it as false, and the rulers view it as useful'.

They are being taken advantage of by people like Bin Laden for political purposes, and they don't know any better, yet who will people go after?

I have a friend in Detroit that says arab people (yes, arabs are human, they are people too - did you not know that?) are getting beaten to death in the streets, some are getting shot at their own doors, simply for the reason they are Arab.

People these days.. I can't believe it! You're actually trying to pin the blame on the passengers of the planes?

Think about it logically for a second, I doubt the Hi-jackers went around the plane announcing to the passengers that they'd be used to tear down the WTC towers.

The passengers would have just been told it was a run of the mill hi-jacking and that they'd be released once their demands were met.

I very much doubt that under those circumstances you would have taken those bastards out ;
I'd say it's unlikely you would have done anything more elaborate than piss in your pants.

If I was a hostage, and told that we'd be released once the demands were met, I'd just sit my ass down in the hopes I wouldn't get anybody killed by being an impulsive ass, and hell, I'd definately be scared.

Think about it; even if the passengers were told they were going to crash into a really huge rock, they would have rushed the terrorists. If they were going to die ANYWAY they would have done something about it.

So you can imagine that they DEFINATELY would have rushed the terrorists if they were told they would be used to take out the WTC towers. Far better to die a hero than a coward. If you're going to die anyway, that kind of sombre thought would make sense to you.

So if the terrorists were intelligent enough to orchestrate this kind of horrendous attack, they certainly would have enough common sense to tell the passengers the "usual" hi-jacking story.

I imagine the passengers didn't click onto what was happening until they saw the WTC buildings out of their cabin windows....

Even if we get rid of this one, there will always be others. Although, unfortunately, this group seemed to do more than any other terrorist group has...

Also all these reporters, experts keep saying that this is "evil". I strongly disagree with that. I believe their is no good or evil. What separates us, is our different perspectives, not good or evil, but who's to say which perspective is right? No one on this earth is such a high power to make that judgement.

I hope you don't think I'm sticking up for them when I say that, I just find it funny how experts would use such a "incorrect" word for all of this.

( I commend eBay for removing auctions such as this one ) (it was for a charred piece of paper, supposedly from the World Trade Center, and someone had actually bid on it! )

My wife said she saw on the news people grabbing everything they could out of souvenir shops (postcards of the World Trade Center). I now see why, to sell them for over inflated prices on eBay. Why on earth would anyone pay $200 for a postcard?

I mentioned those countries based on the fact that they harbor and support known terrorists. Not because they were arab, or any other race. Race or Religion had nothing to do with it at all. I apologize if it seemed that way.

I can't believe those afghan people are celebrating this. It doesn't matter if you hate America. So many innocent people died thats nothing to celebrate. I just don't hope we get a WW3.

The flights that were Highjacked were from United and AA, they were numbered as follows:

11, 93, 175, and 77

11 = Today's Date
9+3 = 12 = Wednesday
1+7+5 = 13 = Thursday
7+7 = 14 = Friday

Isn't that a coincodence? Might mean something.

Nobody does really know if it's over, maybe the terrorists will go on, maybe in America, maybe anywhere other in the world.
In Germany we have security level 1, so everywhere is more police than I have ever seen before, especially in front of the american institutions.
We have the largest american military base in europe, everything over there is now isolated and highly secured, nobody is allowed to go in or out.
Right now there is a worship in german capital Berlin where all german politicians have joined and thousands of people stand on the street in front of the cathedral or are watching the worship on TV.

I give you my word that Germany will be completely solidary with our american friends, and we gonna find those fiends together, but we can't react in a irresponsible manner, we have to be smarter than them and prevent a war.

I think the terriosts want to start a war, They want the world to suffer in another war and now if thats true they are getting what they want. Bush has declaired war.

Anyway, muc the same thing has happened here. They have stepped up security.

It is a pity to see that even the President of the United States hasn't learned from the past.

Here are more things to consider. Most of you are saying that we will not know who did it. I think that is totally false.

The FBI had a name stand out in the passenger list for obvious reasons. They have attained a warrent to his residence and have been searching it. They also stoped a rented van that was leaving an airport. In the mist of all these searchings they have found Afganistan pilot training manuals and a gas milage convertor. And I am sure some other things which they will not release to the public due to "National Security"

What still amazes the hell out of me is the fact that 3-5 guys with plastic knives can not be stopped buy a planeful of 60-90 people.

I might act differently if I were in the situation myself but that just shocks me. Perhaps thats what happened when the 4th plane crashed.

Also that plane was not belived to be headed to Camp David it was belived to be headed towards Washington.

Hoepfully no reckless descisions are made today.

Since when did civilians decide on foreign policy? I certainly have no control over my government.

The president hasn't actually declared war yet, he called it an "act of war", declaration of war comes when there's a likely target. He did say again that a country who harbors those who did this are targets as well.

What scares me most is how many severely anti-American groups out there might be wanting to take their turn at this kind of attention, now.

Possibly... I do think they'll change their mind in the near future tho. Retaliation promises to be quick, strong, and massive...

No matter if they said we would get away "if" demands are met. Not such a striking word. I would still go after them. There were reports tat the pilots weren't killed so if they took the plane over they could get the pilots to land it. I mean no mattter what you would want to stop terrisiots. Especially when they say "if" demands are met, with small knives.

Doubt it. I think they chose the planes that left at basiically they same time and were trans-continental because they carry the most fuel of any plane when flying somewherre in the U.S....
