This was inspired by a thread at Ars. So, what did everyone get / give for Christmas? For my brother(1): SmackDown! Just Bring It! (PS2) For my brother(2): The sims : Hot Date Expansion Pack (PC) For my dad: Robbie Williams - Swing When You're Winning (CD), Brendan Grace - Good Grace It's Brendan (VHS) For my mom: Billy Joel - The Greatest Hits (CD), A book of poems I wrote for / about her. And I got: Nokia 3330 Cell Phone, a kick ass discman that can play CDs full of MP3s, 50 CD-Rs, loads of cash and this funky assed Brain Warp game. (For those of you who are also SitePointers, yes, this is an exact copy of the post I made there .)

Despite all my hinting to my family and friends about my Amazon.com Wish List the only thing I got from it was a tool box (and it was at the bottom of my list.) :rolleyes: At least most of the gift certificates/cards I received this year will be used. Got a few for HomeDepot and I'm always in need of something there.

I got a sweet digital camera, the HP Photosmart 318. I've been wanting one of those for such a long time, so I'm really happy about that. Got a nice load of DVDs (Scary Movie 2, l33t version of Pearl Harbor, l33t version of Unbreakable, and l33t version of Almost Famous), some cool clothes from Hot Topic, luggage, and some other small random objects. And a Best Buy gift certificate and some cash.  I made out pretty nice. I didn't get the XBox I wanted, but the digital camera makes up for it. ---Jamin

A PS2 with Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, GT3, and some other game thats almost an exact Zelda copy :rolleyes: A Tamiya Mitshbishi Pajero R/C (must have charged the battery 20 since i took it out of the box, been playing with it almost nonstop  (shes been needing/wanting one for years) and umm.. some other stuff [ 12-26-2001 03:53 PM: Message edited by: Durango ]

I got an X-Box (although, it was given in advance, but I still got the x-box, they paid for it.  ), and DoA3 for the xbox, DVD playback kit, Nascar thunder 2002, movie theatre gift certificates. I also got some CDR's, and a few other things. I gave my dad: - A power screwdriver he wanted by craftsman - Stetson stuff he wanted - Possibly something else. My mom: - These WAYY to expensive pearl earrings (There goes the money I got...) - Nightgown - Something else i think... My girlfriend (for those of you who dont know they exist, try dictionary.com) - Some stuff from Victoria's Secret. hehe.. heh.. - A pair of earrings. - She wanted this really weird looking thing.. from a store entitled (Get ready Jamin) "Lace'n'Leather". I just got her a $50 gift cert for it. I'm not buying no lace thing. Wow..

Some VERY sweet Altec speakers with a sub wofer (is that what it's called? Well, it's a bass unit) A new mouse, Logitech Optical Ooo, 100 bucks to Best Buy! A 100 dollar check and the set of Fellowship of the Ring books from my grandma (she's really nice, like... woa!) That's all the big things I got.

It was the catalog, Jamin. Not a store. The lace place was a store, but in the middle of the mall they sell "General" mall gift certificates. I put "For Lace'n'Leather" on it and she was just as pleased.. [ 12-26-2001 07:40 PM: Message edited by: MasterMind ]
