In Japan, there's World Cup this and World Cup that. They're really excited. Too excited. Oh well, it'll be cool. And the finals will be in Japan, so all is cool. ~Jon

That's a good time to be in Japan, and NOT FOR ANIME!!!!!!!!!!! BTW Nervana, the idea is to change the ones with [numbers] to the winners, like "[1] 1st E vs. 2nd B" should be "[1] Brazil vs. Russia" (example, dunno who's where). When you go to the next step, instead of "[10] 1st 1 vs. 1st 5" type "[10] (Brazil vs. Russia - the one who won) vs. (France vs. Italy - the one who one)". (again, I dunno who's where, so prolly France won't meet Italy in the quarterfinals )

The tickets are too darn expensive AND the stadiums aren't exactly....nearby.
I'll get to adding that world cup schedule later today. Probably.

It's officially started. I got the miserable pleasure (strange...) of watching the ceremony before the game (France vs. Senegal).

I'm just happy that France didn't win...
If Japan gets to the Quarter Finals, it will be a sign of progress. Last time in '98 they didn't even get there.

Yes. I hope they make it tho. I'm actually rooting for Japan opposed to America. O_O
Now, I'm off to stare at the TV, watching the next game (I have satellite; which is the only one broadcasting ALL the games) which is Ireland vs. Cameroon.
It's started!

Yep, it's on TV now. Ah, LD, you're in Australia, so there's not much of a time difference, huh? That's cool.

Yay . I couldn't care less if either France or Senegal wins, I hoped Denmark will win and now I hope Germany BTW, I updated the game schedule - added 2 games to 6th day, changed 'gemany' to 'germany' somewhere, added time in the 2nd semi final, "gmt" somewhere and scores for the first 3 games.

Too bad Japan lost. But hey, EVERY SINGLE team member got a (approx.) $75,000 bonus just for getting to the round of 16. I never thought S. Korea could beat Italy. And that America vs. Poland game was crazy. ~Jon

Did anybody actually mention the latest result ? As far as I know, Donovan & Co are on their way home to USA To be fair, the US boys were the better team, but that's soccer. Germany played so poorly, but who'll ask for how they got the trophy as soon as they have it in their hands My guess for the final game: Germany-Brasil

Korea isn't the 4th best team in the world, it's just lucky to reach the semi-finals. They wouldn't win France, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, Brazil and many others in an average day.

That doesn't matter, you get your Fifa rank from the world cup. And because they are in the Semi's they are guarenteed 4.

Nope, it's by points, and it's changed on a monthly basis. Since they have beaten some teams in this mondial, they'll probably reach 38 or something. (if they're currently in #40)

Turkey is leading 3:1, and they'll probably win that match.

The game ended up Turkey winning 3:2, with a goal in the dying seconds. Great match.
