Well either MS pulled it or the demand crippled their server.

Apparently Microsoft did pull it from their server... Not entirely sure of a reason, though excessive download attempts does sound about right... Luckily I got it in time.

Why do I even care that the download isn't there--I use Windows 2000 anyway!

Hmmmm.. I've just seen this on some forums.. Anyone know anything about it?
. .
ALL XP Users Read In.... Very Important Security Flaw Fix (09-10-2002 until 10-11-2002) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This applies to ALL versions of XP..... For those of us who can't use SP1, or have a slow connection that will take forever to D/L SP1... Do the following IMMEDIATELY! This IS a major flaw in XP that has now been released publically.
Either search you HD for the file uplddrvinfo.htm or go to the folder WindowsPCHealthHelpCtrSystemDFS and rename this file to uplddrvinfo.htm.bak or its believed it is safe to delete the file with no harmful affects as well. (Reboot when done of course)
If you don't do this it will be a simple thing for someone to delete files from ANY folder on your HD with a simple weblink! I'm not kidding folks, this is a serious flaw that the community has been keeeping secret for our protection. But it has now been leaked. Even if you plan on getting and installing SP1, do this NOW!

Here we go...I knew this was going to be the next popular Warning that we would all start receiving in our in boxes. Technically the information is correct since it will limit the abilities of most script kiddies to utilize the released exploit code. HOWEVER, anyone who knows what they're doing will be able to utilize this exploit even with that file renamed or deleted. The only way to fully close the hole is to download XP SP1.

OK, then it will probably stop in the middle and your computer will be left open for many hours for no reason I suggest you to try antoher accelerator. If you tried DAP, try Getright...

There is another way, just rename the problematic file...
