Nice - you should be safe in the knowlege that your server is up to 500 times faster than Apache people, and even faster than mine (IIS 4, NTS4).

Does anyone use anything other than Apache or IIS. Any WebStar (Mac) users in the house?

Sorry to call you a moron, but I just have. How is a 500 error generated? Go away and think about that.

If someone else hosts your site you usally dont get to choose the web server type.. most hosts out there use unix.. I *WAS* on a NT host for 2 days.. thing kept crashing on me.. I have an NT box here I use for my BBS (no not UBB, but an original BBS!) (for those former/still are sysops visit www.winserver.com, I use that) but I used iis on there a couple fo times.. nothing but trouble apache works a bit better..
I am now at futurequest..which is a great host..
I am not trying to dump on IIS or anything.. I know apache has it's bugs too.. where do you think the name came from?? A-Patchy-server! (says that somewhere on their site..)
I do apologize for those I may have offended by my IIS comment..

I tried installing Apache on NT (*way* back when i had 4.0). No success. Very hard to configure (at least, for me). I downloaded one little utility that makes it easier, but still w/o luck. I switched to IIS then [Linked Image]

I'm not a microsoft Advocate. Indeed, most of my stuff is hosted on WebStar (Mac based). I just don't think it's write for people to slag-off software when it doesn't deserve to be. There is plenty of poor software from MS that needs to be critisised. Don't pick on their best product.

Yeah.
I use Apache for UNIX.
It seems to be easier to set file permissions in unix. Thats why, my site is hosted by unix. [Linked Image]

IIS/Windows 2000. But I like Apachie a lot better, ton easier to set up than IIS. Once set-up UBB runs well on IIS but I still think it's happier on Apachie.....[Linked Image]

Domino is appropriatly named - one little push and it all falls down. I am not a Lotus fan.
