I signed up an account with them and they've been down over 12 hours now and still not up and running. I signed up because of the link here at ubbdev.com. I feel ripped!   You can forget about e-mailing them because it'll only bounce back. Don't even bother trying to call them either ... answering machine.

I think this topic would be most appropriate in the web host board.
I was browsing their site, and was unable to open a support ticket(tho i wouldn't send one). It said there was an sql error. Perhaps you should try again in a day or so, it could be that they are doing server maintance. If you feel that they have violated their hosting agreement with you, then you should by all means send in for a refund/return. My 2 cents.

by the way, we don't make a penny of advertizing them, we do that as a free service... so we don't have connections there, AFAIK...

Looks good, but even a small UBB can use 30GB, which is their highest plan.

By the time your UBB hits 30 gigs of bandwidth, it's time to look at a dedicated server...

I got to their website without a problem. http://www.webhostxl.com/ It's probably best to do as Allen recommended and find another host.

Absolutely do not sign up an account with WebhostXL.com. It seems everything is automated there. They have a toll free line to call but it's always an answering machine and no one calls back. You can e-mail them also but it's automated and just sends a reply back to what you initially sent them. There is no way to contact them. Doing a 'whois' on the domain points to a PO Box address. I'd reccommend www.hostnuke.com they have fairly cheap prices and very reliable servers, I've been using them for some time now and wouldn't dare change providers.
