I need a free host... it has to be able to host an UBB and a good deal of other stuff... *around 500+ mb* unlimmited space would be better.

You will never find a free host that will let you have 500+ mbs. They might say that but once you get up to maybe 50-100 mb they will cut your account off. If you just need a free server that can host a ubb then I'd go with:

Virtualave or
Hypermart

they only allow 20 megs of space though [Linked Image]

Yes true, what Badger had just said.
The problem is that with Virtualave and Hypermart, it's against there TOS to run a UBB, so if you're site gets detected running a UBB, chances are that they'll end up deleting you.

Hmm thats a new rule then, when I signed up with them a year ago they didn't have that? Well then it looks like I won't be setting up a freeware board then [Linked Image]

Badger, yes this is a new rule, I think it was made only a couple months ago. I think as of right now, the best place to set up a UBB would be Jumpworld.net

uanime, there are probably hosts that "say" they offer 999mb or something like that, but just watch, when you reach 999kb your account will be deleted.
Anyways a good resource site for free web hosts would be http://www.freewebspace.net - also be sure to check out the reviews by people on the hosts, b/c they may have good features, but lots of downtimes and crappy support.

I can't resist throwing my oar in here. I've used dozens of free servers and worked on close to fifty different standard servers.

It's been my experience that you get what you pay for -- and only if you're lucky, at that... lol.

I've had the same experience as etLux.
I've tried many and more free servers.
The other day someone reported getting a virus from a file I had on a xoom server. I quickly removed that file from the server.

But The virus was not detected on the copy of the file I have on my computer or my computer for that matter.

Guys it's not against Hypermarts TOS, I emailed them and they told me that it wasnt a direct violation but that UBB'S were eating up their bandwidth and if they found a hosted site that had to much traffic they would request for them to remove it.
