I'm looking to hire someone to do some upgrades on my forum. If you have done this work, please email me at ffcobra@ aol.com (notice the email is separate to avoid spidering spam). Tell me the amount you would charge to do the job and give me an approximate time frame.

Here's what I want done:

1.) I have upgraded to 6.7.3 and want the functions checked out before doing any hacks.

2.) I offer a Supporting Member program. When someone paypal's me for their subscription/donation, I manually go into the Control Panel and add an image under their Avatar. I use HTML to add a User Title and under the title a small Supporting Member Stars image. This causes two problems and would like a solution:

2a.) It takes me time to get the PayPal payment, then go find the users account and add the Customer User Title with the image. It would be great if when they pay me by PayPal it would automatically add the custom title and image. PayPal can send data to a server. If the cost to change the software to automate this process is high, it's not that important.

2b.) When a user who is a Supporting Member changes anything in their profile, they always lose the Customer User Title and Image. It seems the software won't let normal users add or keep images in the custom title area. Yes, I have the UBB code enabled, but no one can seem to add images to the Custom User Titles, except me (Admin). This is an important issue. I think the software needs to allow users to add images in their user titles and don't restrict the length so it will work better.

3.) We need a photo hosting service. I would like to allow all members a small amount of space and give Supporting Members more space. The cool thing would be to allow each user a photo gallery and be able to attach photos to topics. I'm not sure if this is reasonable, so let me know the cost involved.

4.) AOL(AIM), MSN, YAHOO IM/AIM icon / popup. ICQ

5.) Spell Checker? Most use iSpell on my site, but why not have it built in?

6.) Maybe allow a vcard download to users.

7.) anything else you can think of that will help the site run smoother, faster and be more fun.

My site gets has a lot of traffic, so the site cannot have much down time and any upgrades must be done late at night. The URL is http://www.ffcobra.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi and I'm on a Unix box, have the latest PHP, mysql and whatever else you might need.

All data should be backed up before making any changes. I have someone who works for me who would be supervising the upgrades so we make sure that no changes are made without our knowledge and support.

Thanks,

Bill

Normally I would have been interested however high stress times lately with being ill and my grandfather passing this last weekend so I don't have the time to develop (or have developed) or port up modifications for a while...
