I have php 4.2.3 installed on my server. I am using windows 2k with IIS and I went to upgrade to 4.3.1 I get a bunch of duplicate errors on the server when I load up my forum from my other computer. I am trying to do the manuel install because I need the gdlib extension for the Panel Generator.

Any one have any ideas?

Thank you

He's trying to upgrade his PHP so that the panel generator will work.

The site is currently fine. But I'm not much help with installing/upgrading PHP.

My guess is an incompatibility between the php and the actual class that holds that function (the ones that get called by the panel generator).

Might worth looking what the version of the php4apache.dll (or if he runs it on iis then it is a bit more complicated). I guess that there is a loose file there referenced incorrectly

Yeah, he's on IIS.

The best thing to do then is to uninstall php from the Add Remove programs and remove IIS. Then restart the PC and perform the reverse (install IIS and then PHP) Ensure that these two work perfectly and then grab the gdlib library for windows. Perhaps the copy of the gdlib is from a previous version or just a different distro.

www.experts-exchange.com has some really good advice on those issues.

Sorry that I cannot be of any more help...

Yeah, I'm pretty clueless myself. Thanks for the advice.
