how to add a table around a forum

so, not to the left or the right but around it. Like that the 'background' table.
I am guessing I should just put the code in the Header and footer field, but that doesn't seem to work....

Correct. A border table would be put in the header and footer fields of your Style Template.

It will work. If it doesn't, you're not doing something right.
