I just added the avatar hack, which is working just fine, but now for some reason, it appears that on my topic pages there is extra space above the posted date and pictures.

Note: the red circle indicates the extra space, thats not a picture on the page.

Can anybody tell me why its doing this, and how to fix it???

The avatars force that whole cell to become taller than it's supposed to be. Thus, short posts will display a lot of blank space because the cell is taller than normal. The only thing you can do is set that cell to valign="top", but then all the blank space will be at the bottom, instead of split between the top and bottom like it is now.

Oh, ok, I think I see what you mean.

So when users have longer posts (not many will be only 3 characters ) then it will be spaced better?

There is a fix in the FAQ at the end of the install doc to fix this.
