Header: top down until FORUM HERE
Footer: FORUM HERE to bottom
Code
code:

That will be close to what you want but I would suggest arranging your table differently. The problem is that the cell that will contain the UBB itself will probably be the longest. Not a huge problem but you have to make sure the cells all around it are aligned to the top. I think I did that with some of your code already.

I would recommend using horizontal tables.
  • One for the header
  • One for the left menu and the UBB
  • One for the footer

This would allow the top of the page to load first and all subsequent tables would follow. The way you have it set up, some browsers will have to render your entire page before it displays - this translates into sloooooow load times.

Doing it the way I suggested, you get away with three tables. Header/Footer tables have one main cell and the middle table has two.

Let us know how it goes.

excellent reply ASC, thanks... don't you hate what pasting code in your forums does to the width of you tables? [Linked Image]

Yes, I do! I was going to comment back here on what it did to this page but forgot.

I am just glad our users don't use that command. Sure can wreck a page. Nothing is perfect, I guess.

I wonder, if you set your ubb table to 99%, would it stop the overflow?

------------------
As long as it is a percent, no it wouldn't and for the code command itself, I don't know even there. I think the way the code for it is set up is that it allows every line a new and a whole line.

As I said, I am just glad our users don't use it. [Linked Image]

Its not working still.the tables are on top of the UBB.And is there any way you can slash out the middle table with the NewsPHP thing?THx

I think you will find that making one background image maybe a better idea rather than a whole bunch of images.

At the very least, use horizontal tables. Have them go across your page. Read up a couple of posts and you will see what I mean.

Let me know if you are having any problems. I will have more time this weekend.
