Ran across this cool little ajax ditty tonight:

http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/

Using a javascript file, giving your table a class and a unique id and voila! - You can sort all columns in a table without reloading the page smile

lol Check this out

http://dowdybrown.com/dbprod/rico-test7/php/demo-prefilled.php

this uses the openrico.org libaray. Play with it and all the other examples. You can in real time, sort each column, hide and un-hide each column.

Examples 4 and 3 are some powerful stuff. I showed my boss this and I think she is in love. Ajax is highly powerful if used in the right way. Our challenge here at the census is Section 508.

But I have found an Ajax frame work that claims to be 100% acessable.

http://www.bindows.net/

only snag is licenses are $495 to $695 a pop. There is a free trial evaluation version though.

The Rico libaray is great for data grids. I haven't yet messed with http://script.aculo.us.

I plan on installing cakePHP which has php/ajax development enviroments/libararies that make development much faster.

$500-$700 is a little more than a snag wink
