Haven't been hearing a lot about ubb 6.5 after shock edition..... is it any different than ubb 6.5? Do they still sell it and will the Who's online hack work with it?

i read this post and checked out after shock..and ALOT of people had that, its a warez version? then how come they dont bust them?

Well, who should bust em? Because I am sure they all dont have the time to search every board and make sur eit wasnt warez. But if you want to help against the piracy email [email protected] about it and tell them where the site is and they will get busted.

i doubt imma go around bustin people...kinda messed up...it aint right in all...but it aint my problem...i was just wondering if those "after shock" users usually get busted..since their board has AfterShock written all over the bottom of their boards

What's funny is that Aftershock says it's 6.5 and it's actually 6.1 or so. I'll bet there's no backdoor into it either, hahaha!


If your copy says "Aftershock Edition" near the Infopop logo, it might as well say "I'm a software pirate. come and arrest me". Good luck because it's not a question of "if" you will get caught it's "when" because you have a sign up 24 hours a day on the internet saying you have illegal software.

exactly.... the "aftershock" edition was actually v6.0 beta 8.3 - and there's a few places that could be taken advantage of if people were industrious enough to find them. Was the reason why more editions were released, to patch security holes and fix bugs... those who are gonna pirate software could at least be bright enough to get a recent version... :rolleyes:

Just did a search on yahoo for "Ultimate Bulletin Board 6.05 (AfterShock Edition)" and found about 6 or 7 piracy boards.... all reported now too

Actually, the aftershock edition was not a 'warez' version or whatever, it was the release of the beta UBB 6 that infopop released just after the earthquake in seattle I think...or wherever they are.

yah there was a beta called after shock but no 6.05 after shock

So basically, 6.05 aftershock is WAREZ.
