[6.0x] Split_topics hack - UBB.Developers

Hi, i have a big french board (over 3000 visitors a day). I was on UBB 5.45 at the begining and for Hosting reason i had to go on Snitz asp board. My dream was to return on UBB fast and that's what i am doing now on my brand new personnal server on a T3 connection

I work for a week now to modify a UBB 6.04d and some people ask me for a couples of my hacks ...so here's the first important one.
Just take a look at the first demo on a standard UBB:

Yes, they still in one big table. Sorry if the demo do not work some time...this is my test banch, so retry latter or go at the second demo adress

IF you make those separate tables loading would be better. Becuase if everything is one big table you'll have to wait a long time to see anything. But if you make lot's of separate tables the user can start looking at the first posts before the page is completely loaded

It is not slower or faster than the regular topics page and it is working very well. What kind of internet connection do you have? a 28.8K?

Actually just running Netscape on a Macintosh would demonstrate how inner Tables are hard to render on that browser. Broken up tables are defintely better for Netscape.

I really like this hack and have installed with no problem. Only now i need a small update to cover the threads poll.
Example.. poll page any chance of an update? I understand if you dont have time and i will play with it myself only i'm sure to stuff it up somewhere.

But , this will disable the function of the "Last post by" hack , now it will link to the topic start not to the last post as its suppose to do ...

any idea about how to fix it , maybe redesign the tables
