Ok, going tp version 6.04e from 5.47 - My 5.47 is heavily hacked and I need to stay up as continuous as possible.

Is it possible to move the Members Directory over to a newly installed 6.0 and then have it simply import users and threads? Or does having hacks in the 5.47 even matter?

Note: I have another IP# for version 6.0 so they will be seperate websites while I perform the upgrade - I will then update the DNS to point back to just the public version.

Firstly make sure you run CopyCat's Remove Extra Fields in Member Files for UBB 5 inside the Chit Chat directory (it's in there somewhere, search for it).

Then, follow the instructions for upgrading found inside the upgrade insturctions for the ZIP file.

Be forewarned that some servers don't take UB 6 too well and you may be forced to revert back to UBB 5. However, it may take up to 3 days before you know if your server can take UBB 6's load or not.
