I am going to have to move my boards to another (faster) server and was wondering if you can make the ultimatebb.cgi file automatically forward users to the new board? I would like to avoid the dreaded 404 if possible.

Can this be done? I am familiar with the html meta refresh but am a newbie with CGI.

Thanks!

You can just close your forum on the old server and leave the link on the closing notice.

Or, you could add the meta tag to the "Header Insert" section of the style template you are using for your Forum Summary page. Remember to redirect after about 5 seconds though, to give them time to see the "We Have Moved" message...

I think Meta works better, so they don't have to click a link. But still make sure you leave one just incase their browser doesn't re-direct them.
