Just had a new problem pop up tonight: someone registering with words on our ban filter, as in garden variety sexual cuss words in their user name.

I manually edited his user file, first publicly naming him "banned so quick", then by replacing that an hour later with something non-descript after I saw he had checked back in.

Now, is there a way to get the registration module to look at our naughty words list and just give an error back when someone does mess like that? Seems like it should be basic UBB functionality, but apparently it isn't.

I tried the search here to try to find a solution, but no luck so far. smile

6.3.1 adds this functionality. You're probably best off waiting for it.

We have set a few internal beta dates. We will announce public dates when we're sure that they're feasable.
