I have a question about the upgrade instrucions for UBB6 - 02/05/2001 11:32 PM
Where it is Italic is where I do not understand:
1. Upload all files in the cgi-bin folder of the .zip into the directory your UBB(tm) currently uses. If you are installing on a Unix system all of these files and your cgi directory must be 755.
2. Upload the contents of the variables folder from your .zip into your UBB(tm) CGI directory. - [Here it tells me to upload the varible folder files] If you are installing on a Unix system the permissions on these files need to be 777.
3. Upload all files (including the subdirectories shown) in the noncgi .zip folder into this directory into the noncgi directory that your UBB(tm) currently uses. These files do not need to have special permissions set one them.
Do not upload the contents of the Members directory or the variables directory. - [Here it tells me not to]
4. Check Perl path for these three files: ultimatebb.cgi, cp.cgi, and ubb_upgrade.cgi. None of the other cgi files require a perl path. Use the same perl path that your current UBB(tm) scripts.
What should I do? :confised:
