Using UBB Classic 6.3.2

Hello all,

How would you remove the ability of a normal member to delete there cookies ( ie. using the link in the profile area)?

Would removing the link do it or is there a way to give the impression it did it but not actually do it (preferred method).

Have a banned member that is using proxies and making logins. Tired of chasing this guy. If I can stop the cookies from being deleted without them knowing would he be easier to catch and stop? He posts some pretty disgusting things.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Users can still use local proxies and local methods to alter and delete cookies. Removing it from the code would be rather useless, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply Charles.

I figured that, just didn't want to make it any easier for him. As it is now, he just clears before he logs out.

Why don't you ban him by IP address?

Thanks for the suggestion... I cannot ban an AOL account without banning a bunch of other users. The IP's are too close. Also, there are alot of free proxie's out there.
