The server im dealing with was shut down for long time now, so i moved my ubb files into another server.

the old site was .net

and the new one is .com

so what changes should i change in the cgi, members files shocked

i got some problems :

Quote
quote:
There was a compilation error while loading the UBB.classic libraries and data files Can't locate /home/ at ultimatebb.cgi line 139.

Please make sure that you uploaded the CGI and Variables files to the proper directory, permissions are set properly on the files, and that paths in the control panel are set correctly

i didnt know what should i change in line 139 help

Also i got from the cp:

quote:
[qb]Error:

Your Members Directory Path is not correct. You would also receive this error if you are installing a new UBB and forgot to upload the member_test.cgi file into your Members directory. [There may be other errors, as well.]
[/qb]
although i tried all the steps in the installation guide very well mad

Gizzy,

i set the paths in the vars_config.cgi

then when i tryed to enter the board i found these errors:

Quote
quote:

Sorry, UBB has encountered an unexpected, fatal error. This error is extremely abnormal. Please contact the board administration. The error text is:

Can't open 'CGIPath/Members/memberslist.cgi'.

I was unable to find that file or directory. Please check the paths.

The exact error returned by the operating system is:
No such file or directory

and:

6Backtrace: ultimatebb.cgi:372 -> sub UBB::PNTF::write
Backtrace: ubb_lib_pntf.cgi:313 -> sub UBB::PNTF::_import
Backtrace: ubb_lib_pntf.cgi:383 -> sub main::OpenProfile
Backtrace: ubb_lib_files.cgi:935 -> sub main::Tracer

What should i do shocked

did you set the ABSOLUTE paths?? or WEB URLS?

you need to set the absolute paths, check with your host to find out what they would be.

No Such file or Directory makes me think the paths are still wrong.

But I'm still new to this so I could be wrong.

Why do I have so little faith in humanity? I can't help but think *alt-nic* when I see a name like Mrs. B.

*shrugs*
