Here is the email they sent me and now I have NEW users thatare not getting their passwords via email.


Due to security concerns with the generic FormMail scripts, we have temporarily disabled them from our servers. All accounts using
FormMail are required to switch over to a different form processing program.

The reason is that all versions of FormMail have some security flaws in them, and this allows SPAM to be sent through the program.

Hmmmm, UBB.threads doesn't use a formmail script. It accesses the PHP mail function directly.

Did they change something in the server config, such as in php.ini, to prevent PHP from sending email?

dunno. I had about 15 users that never received their initial EMails for some odd reason. I will see if this continues.

they probably scanned your server and found a formmail script somewhere!??

Ask them to reactivate your forum or explain what the problem is and how they want you to fix it. Ask for the filename and path of the offending software

I moved hosts. The downtime was horrible along with the non-customer service.
