I have dreaded doing the update from 6.2.3 to 6.3 since I have no clue what I am doing. I have changed some things in templates and really I don't know what I am going to have to do once I upgrade.

So ...

Few early questions:

1) I use a version (slightly modified) of the cool blue stylesheet designed for 6.2.3 that was posted here. When I upgrade, will it work or will I have to have it redone?

2) Will I have to re-edit all templates I changed?

Do yourself a favor and follow the below steps and we'll calm you fears some

In the .zip ( or tar.gz ) is an UPGRADING.html

read it. Write down any specific questions you have after you've read it.

Now go to the documentation page on the Infopop website and read the upgrading documentation.

Write down all of your questions that still remain.

Then post them here

It's easier to read the docs and have an idea what you are getting into. That way you know what to ask, and what to look for

1. Cool Blue is not included in the Infopop stylesheets so it will not be overwritten.

2. If you have hacks installed yes they will need to be redone or beyond compare the files

However most all admin template and half the distro files changed as well as language files. I would seriously think about setting up a test site. Install 6.3. Hack to your delight. When it is done and to your satisfaction transfer over all files to the main site EXCEPT main.inc.php,theme.inc.php and config.inc.php. For a complete list of all files changed do as Dave stated and read the doc's they can be a world of help.
