My site had a hiccup yesterday and it deleted one of my users(paying one). I can't get the mysql logs to show because of timing out. Nothing shows in the admin log for deleting members either. We did experience max online users yesterday, perhaps this contributed to the deletion.

I am wondering if I lost other members on this one and they haven't found it yet. Ideas?

I had something like this occur as well a few months back. One of our members mysteriously vanished from the database for some unknown reason (the database has never been altered in any way either, nor had any tables been repaired up until that point). Luckily it doesn't occur very often.

Perhaps merely optimizing it could occassionally cause this, not entirely sure.

Actually your user's table was corrupt - and when I ran the repair table command, the record count was off by one. Which usually either means the record count was off.... or there was one record that it couldn't be repaired. That happens from time to time when a table get's corrupt, that's what the repair table command does, remove the corrupt data.

The mysql logs were probably huge because MySQL on the box you were on did go down briefly yesterday- so you might not be able to open them through admin, you'd probably have to open them directly. But they won't really have any clues.... lots of unable to connect to messages, because MySQL wasn't running while everything had to get rebooted.

If you know who the user was - and if we can figure his usernumber, we can simply recreate him (with the same user number) and all shoudl be fine (he'll still have all his posts etc....)

If you know who he was, and can help me figure out his usernumber etc.... PM me the details and I'll recreate him.

OK - actually you were missing 2 users.

User# 421 had 153 posts.

User# 3963 had 1 posts.

I created placholders for both. View the profiles and click to see all their posts, then tell me what the usernames should be and I'll edit the usernames/login names. Then all they will need to do is recomplete their profiles.
