Can someone explain the difference between the 2? I have been using cookies but was thinking of trying sessions. Can someone explain the advantages/disadvantes of either?

On my friends computer i cant get her to stay logged into the baord for the life of me..Ive messed around witht eh security/privacy settings on IE...tried expiring her cookies on threads as well..she has the same issue with ebay also so its probbably not threads....ISnt there somewhere where you can set cookies to never expire? It seems as if the cookies are expiring as soon as the browser is closed? any suggestions?

Sessions expire much more quickly, as users will have to log in each time they close their browser.

Cookies set a tracking file that remembers people each time they visit.

Your friend will need to triple check her cookie and/or firewall settings. Make sure she is upgraded to the latest version of her browser as well, and not using some antiquated version of something.

Hope that helps.
