Not only for my dad who this month was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer but for the simple fact that every little bit helps and someday hopefully there will be a cure to beat this crummy disease.

My prayers are with your dad Steven.

This past weekend we had our American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Each year we have 'Caleb's Team' raising money and participating in the 24 hour relay. My nephew Caleb had leukemia at 18months of age. 6 months in an experimemental chemo group and he's been in remission ~8 years now thumbsup A little small for his age, he's otherwise perfectly healthy.

His experimental chemo treatment was made possible by people willing to support it over the years - UD is one way to do that.

On another note, my friend's daughter wasn't so lucky. She had leukemia too, treated for 2 years she went into remission for 5 only for it to come back. Now 10 years old, she's been back in chemo right at one year and is about ready to come home for the first time in that time. She still has 2 years of outpatient chemo and is not out of the woods yet.

This is a disease that has no boundries as age and sex seem to have no bearing as to if and when it will strike.

My prayers go out to everyone who is striken with this disease. It is a battle no one should have to deal with.

On a more cheerful note my race truck will be on display this weekend for The American Breast Cancer Society which is holding a fund raiser.

Just trying to make a small difference in this thing we call life smile
