So this is like a 'reverse kharma' modification? You can give people demerits?
Something like that, it's like an addon to report post(so it's only for admin/mods). If someone is 'struck' 3 times in one day, they will be banned. There is a limit of 1 a day so moderators can't ban anyone for personal reasons.
Also, a log of all strikes is kept in the cpanel under the strike system settings.
ok, nice mod then, thank you
No shoutout to the guy you tested this on?
Or the guy who forced you to port it? hehe...
Thanks for the port, I'm going to go try it out right now on some hapless soul. (...just kidding, I'm going to try it out at my test forum on a dummy membership.)
heres a question:
If a mod strikes a user, is there a way for the admin to take that strike back like it never happened? Or is there a way to remove the one strike that a member got?
Only via configs via FTP.
Found a glitch (I think)-- if you're trying to Strike a user who has their pm's disabled, it returns an FYI page that reads, "This member is not accepting private messages." ...and doesn't Strike the user.
Does no one else experience this problem? I know that the 6.4 version also had this problem, but at least it logged the strike anyway. With this 6.7 version, it doesn't log the strike if the offender's pm's are turned off.

I struck an extra account that I have that didn't have pm's enabled and the strike worked fine. It recorded all three strikes and then banned the account.
Yeh it should record the strikes and ban the user; it just won't notify them.
It would be sweet to have the strike system bypass the PM disable option and give them one anyway
