how about a forum about drawing related and tips about using photoshop, paintshop to enhance a site? The gfx tutorial on the site is cool and all but some more gfx tips from individual members would be cool and maybe even better.

We plan to expand the tutorials, but a separate forum might be a little overkill... smile We would need to hear from quite a few people to open one up.

I'd be happy to help with that if you wanted to start one up, I've only just started using photoshop recently, but I have a lot of experience in Corel, and other graphics programs too.. I can usually explain what I mean pretty clearly too, when I try.. smile

You can always ask graphic questions in the Styles & Graphics forum . It is primarily geared towards graphics as they relate to UBB (obviously), but there have been lots of non-ubb graphic questions that have been asked. smile

Wow, nice work on that image....

The graphics tutorials that are on ubbdev's at the present time were initially posted in the Styles & Graphics forum by members and moderators. They were documented and added to the database so the information could be easily shared with others. You're more than welcome to add tutorials to the forum... and if you give us permission, we'll add them to the database so you too can become famous. laugh

PSP Pro Rocks!

hell yea!! Personally i think PSD is just a big rip off, 600 bucks for something that was pretty much the same since version 4.0! PSP is always adding newer and better feature and definetly a better user interface.

I'll take your incorrect abbreviation of Photoshop as proof that you've never used it before. Files with the extension .PSD are the format that PS saves to. PS is the abbreviation of Photoshop.

Anywho, I don't know how you can say it's been the same since v4, because there's been literally hundreds of new features added since then. Plus, PS is the original professional desktop graphics package, despite what anyone else may tell you.

Actually the software is irrelevant, I've made images and effects in Paintshop Pro, that some can't make in photoshop. It all boils down to the knowledge of the product and the comfort factor in using it.

Better, best, etc.. is truly mute.. An expert in photography can take stunning pictures with a pin-hole camera, the state of the art Nikon, etc isn't needed. It's the talent behind it..

As I said, I only just started using photoshop, so I'm not that aware of everything it does yet, but I do like it.. I switch back to corel now and again to do different things, since either I can't be bothered to work out how to do them in adobe, or I find the feature better in Corel, but I like both, looking forward to learning more about the way photoshop works.. Both programs do similar things, just in different ways

Acctually i've been using photoshop for quite awhile now and the basic stuff are the same unlike psp which's always enhancing. I have seen many pros calling photoshop psd since PS can be mistaken for somethingelse quite easily. PSD for photoshop documents yes of course i know... and yes alot of ppl do call it by the extension, its easier and quite easy to distinguish. I've been using both progs for nearly 2yrs now and on almost a daily basis. Still i do not like PSD over PSP till this day... its all matter of the ease of use and some habits. I'm just stating my opinion you dont have to put me down about it...
