I cannot (easily) find the requirements for wwwthreads.

I would recommend that you had a "what is required" to the download page. It would be useful to know what system requirements are as to determine if we can even use the product.

As well, how heavily tested is the product?
Our current forum system is averaging 86,000 requests/day. What hardware would be required for wwwthreads to handle this load?

Is it SQL 7 adaptable so we could break the database up over several machines to distribute the load?

thanks for any information.

There is a file in the download area called servertest.pl that will check for the required modules. These being, DBI, Data::Dumper, Data::ShowTable and the mysql module, and of course a mysql server. Currently it is not SQL 7 adaptable, it requires the mySQL database.

WWWThreads has been in circulation for several months, and so far I haven't heard of anyone having problems with heavy loads. I assume you are running under NT, which would not allow you the benefit of running under mod_perl. I am hoping to start compiling some information on users, what type of load they are experiencing and how the forum has held up. So far, the general feedback has been great, and people are very happy with the response and reliabilty compared to other software they have ran. Again, this is just general feedback. I don't have any real data at this time.
