In showthreaded, the [re: ] has no link.

Shouldn't it link to a post?

In showflat, the [re: ] links to the post in showthreaded and opens a new browser.

Shouldn't it link to the post in showflat and not open a new browser?

I can change this, just wondering why it was setup like it is.

In showthreaded, the re: really doesn't really need to link to a post because you can see which post it is in reply to when looking at the lower portion of the screen.

In showflat, there's no real way to see which post it is in reply to. It needs to open in showthreaded so it can open up that individual post. Usually just for a quick reference to check what post is being responded to.
