If I accidentally type in the wrong SELECT command, I can get stuck with waiting for 100000 lines to scroll by (on a dialup connection). []/forum/images/icons/frown.gif[/]

Is there a way of aborting the SELECT (or any other) command output without getting kicked out of MySQL?

I'm using MySQL 3.23.45 on Linux Redhat, bash shell.
