Does anybody know of any IRC Server software programs like IRCPlus or IRCXpro that work on a linux server? I'm desperately wanting to switch my last server over to Red Hat 8.0 but I'm forced to use Win2kpro with my IRCPlus server software.

Thanks in advance for any help anybody can provide!

UnrealIRC runs fine on my Redhat 8 server with Epona for services.
There is also Bahumet and a few others. I've run just about every IRCD there is and found Unreal to be the best of the bunch.

To see it in action connect to irc.visualbasicforum.com port 6667.

Do you know where I could download UnrealIRC?

http://www.unrealircd.com

I'd recommend to use a 3.2.x beta version rather than than a lower version number.
There's been significant improvements and we use the beta version on our production sever for a long time without problems.
