http://www.iroc-zpost.comAfter using a white background with black text for years, I decided to change the colors of my forum. I realize that black text on a white background is the easiest to read, but do you think my forum is okay? Easy enough to read, colors not distracting etc.?
Any suggestions for color combo changes or opinions openly welcomed. Thanks.--SRE
I like the color, tho you might add one contrasting color to keep it from being so monochromatic. In our design/graphics forum we have links to color pickers, I like this one:
http://wellstyled.com/tools/colorscheme2/You could try the tdheader at: #26445A - that wil add a nice contrasty darker blue and kinda anchor the rest of it.
If you wanted to add even more color and put your main text in the posts back to black, you could add variations on the blue:
Alt1: #DAEFFF
Alt2: #B5DFFF
That's all up to you tho
Thanks for the suggestions! I keep playing with different combos but end up right back where I started. I'll change the color of the header and category strip and see if that helps break it up a little.

Did you change them slightly? (I can't really tell very well with this monitor), but it LOOKS like you darkened the headers a bit and does look better, more 'finished'.
Yep, darkened the headers slightly. I actually changed the colors on everything, even the banner and in the end, ended up right back to where I started, the only exception being the headers. I'm going to darken them just a tad more because like you said, it's barely noticable. Thanks again!
You're welcome, I do like the changes
