I'm definately not taking credit for this. But this was discussed in the suggestion forum, and I installed it, and thought I would try my hand at 'writing it up' so the real geniuses that figured it out and created this can keep writing great hacks.

Mind if I borrow that for the main distribution?

Rick -
For the main distribution, you should also consider the Postlist Attachment Icon. It's almost the same hack.

Most other message boards show the disk or paper click etc... when there are attachments.

Just a suggestion... and one that's very easy for you.

Are you planning on making any modifications to the way "sticky" posts are handled? We recently made a post sticky on the HP forums recently, and it was annoying nearly everyone that the thread appeared as perpetually new, even when we'd read all the posts in it, and that if you click just on the thread (rather than the last page link entry) when there was a new post, that it started with the first page/post in the thread. I think I see why this is - the post has its date set to the future, and thus we obviously could not have read anything in it yet . . . but it was rather annoying. Many people complained about it.
