I don't know if anyone's suggested anything like this before... but my forum members have taken to being awarded 'Baloons' for various reasons ranging from writing something funny, to having two 'B's in their name...
Each day, one of our more prolific forum members writes out a scoreboard to let everyone know how many baloons (and various other things) each person has been awarded.

I just wondered if there was any way I could automate this a bit... So like a kind of user definable points system. Basically, give all Admin and Mods the ability to award a point, be it a baloon, or something infinitely more stupid (currently two people have chocolate syrup in an ashtray... it's a pretty insane forum) for whatever reason. Then you could go to a scoreboard to see how everyone was doing. If the mod could put in a reason for awarding each point too, that'd be excellent.

Anyone up for that? My PHP knowledge is limited to the installation of software, so I doubt I'd be able to manage it.
