We have rss feeds mods for 6.4 the next logical step is to make content islands using the rss.

How would somebody do this one?

Why would you need to make a content island out of an RSS feed, when the RSS feed is the content island itself?

Ok how do I use the rss feed to include in a ssi?
I have the rss setup and want to include the feed as updated news on my front page.
