I've come up with and implemented a hack for UBB

it's an #anchor hack
so taht you can go to
http://domain.com/cgi-dir/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro#anchor-here

and jump right to a category or particular forum..

this doesn't serve much use on a smaller forum ..

but a Site which hosts forums for other people it is very usefull

for example I host forums for BFPWorld

all BFPWorld has to put for their link is
http://ubb.core-dumped.net/cgi-local/Ultimate.cgi?action=into#7

and it jumps right to their category on the forums....

w/o having to do the actual category setting on the CP

or for example say I host a forum for a clan

they can go to http://ubb.core-dumped.net/cgi-local/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro#500012

and it will anchor right to their Forum..

this serves the purpose of being able to promote the entire message
board without ppl linking
directly to their forums... people visiting your hosted forums will be
able to see the entiere message board instead of just going right into a
particular client's forums...

tell me if you think this is a hack ppl will find usefull and I'll write
it up like I have seen other hacks and submit it

seems a bit unnecessary, especially since you can always directly link to a category with Ultimate.cgi?action=intro&category=# even without the category option being turned on.

Justice.. but when you do that.. it doesn't show the other forums on the board..

it only shows the forums in that category :-/
